Platinum Blonde

Country - Victoria, Australia

Percentage - 4.6%

Brewing company - Six Star Breweries

When poured this is a gold colured beer with a good head that dissipates quickly. No real aroma to mention and on first taste this is terrible. The bottle boasts 'Light floral citrus notes, allowing the hops to shine through.' This is a blatant lie furthermore, this beer claims to have 'true flavour with less carbohydrates than standard lagers.' There is no flavour and less carbohydrates is not necessarily a good thing. Overall this is a crap beer and if someone serves this to you, that person hates you profoundly (even if it is your Dad) and is actively working to bring about your demise in a dreadful and painful manner.

Verdict - Bad

Bondi Blonde Low Carb Lager

Country - Australia

Percentage - 4.5%

Brewing Compny - Bondi Brewing Company

Released in December of 2006 and brewed in the Blue Tongue Breweries; this is a beer often enjoyed by Kate (Daniel's wife), so it was only fitting that she write this review. "This beer is my all time favourite, though unfortunately removed from circulation. It is a fresh, crisp, easy to drink beer. Very much a female drink (for the wine chick), easy on the fizz and low carb. A light beer with little aftertaste, very refreshing when consumed chilled."

Verdict - Perfect

Neither Maca or myself could stomach this beer, we think this beer is just wrong and may have been discontinued because it was pure poison.

Amstel Premium Lager

Country - Netherlands

Percentage - 5.0%

Brewing Company - Heineken International

A full strength lager with low carbs. This beer has a ring pull cap that makes it easy to get into, a good thing if you don't have a bottle opener. When poured a golden coloured beer with excellent clarity and good effervescence. This beer deliveries high expectations that it in no way provides in the taste. We don't see how this is a premium lager as this beer is weak as piss. 'Taste Life' what a load of shit! If this is what life tastes like count us out! The only use we could possibly think of for this beer is to smash the bottle and glass the cunt who gave it to you.

Verdict - Bad

Hahn Super Dry

Country - Australia

Percentage - 4.6%

Brewing Company - Hahn Brewing Company

When poured this is a golden beer with a poor head. The aroma is again similar to a Carlton Cold, artificial and unpleasant. A bitter flavour is present to what is an otherwise flavourless beer. This is a poor beer yet still an improvement on the Carlton Cold. As this was the official beer of the Socceroos in 2010 we can understand why they lost. If it was my official beer i'd be doing it pretty fucking tough as well. This beer is fucking crap, better than a Cold sure but that isn't much to be proud of.

Verdict - Paletable
