The Original Stoke Bomber Bohemian Ale

Country - New Zealand

Percentage - 5.3%

Brewing Company - McCashin Family Brewery

This Golden Ale when poured is a gold colour beer with a white head that dissipates to a cap. The beer has an incredible nose with some soft spice, a little malt and citrus. On tasting, the beer has a medium body  and a sweet taste where spice, pepper, and citrus notes dominate the palate lending the style to a "classic bohemian" lager, but these characteristics are also superfluous with many ales, in particular the nose. As a cross between an ale and a lager this beer certainly performs like a well made ale that is pleasing to imbibe. A bottle of commitment.

Verdict - Great

Estrella Damm Inedit

Country - Spain

Percentage - 4.8%

Brewing company - Damm S. A.

INEDIT means " Never Been Done Before", created to pair with challenging foods containing citrus and oils ie. salads and vinegar based sources. The beer uses a combination of barley malt, wheat, hops, coriander, orange peal, yeast, and water.
When poured this is a hazy gold colour beer with a white head. A very enticing floral aroma grips the senses with hints of spice, but on the palate this is a smooth beer with a medium body and certainly not as complex as one is lead to believe. This is an amazing beer that masters the blend of lager and wheat beer styles. An impressive beer for those of us that are a little swank.

Verdict - Excellent

This is influenced by and a hybrid of a few Belgian styles: Saisons, Belgian Blond Ales, with a nod to Belgian Tripels.
When poured into a 500ml Wit Bier glass this beer is a hazy gold amber colour with a healthy white head. A small line of carbonation streams up the side of the glass and a floral aroma with a little spice is present. On tasting this is a sweet beer with some light fruity flavours and malt. There is high carbonation on the palate disguising the alcohol. This medium body beer provides plenty of sweetness and carbonation. A beer that is a wild bit of gear in the mouth! Murray's continue to achieve what they set out to do, even if a little "UNORTHODOX"

Verdict - Great

Murray's Grand Cru

When poured, an extremely hazy dark amber beer with good head retention and lacing. The beer has a strong and unique aroma of banana and bubble gum. On tasting this is a smooth full bodied beer with a mellow bitterness that is balanced well with biscuit malt flavours. The alcohol content is well masked so as that it is barely perceptible thanks toth Belgium yeast characters. As this is a hybrid of a Belgium Triple that out performs the others of this style, this is an outstanding beer to end a session.

Verdict - Perfect

Little Creatures Quiet American Single Batch

Country - Australia

Percentage - 7.2%

Brewing company - Little Creatures Brewing

'A hybrid Ale that is contradictive in style.' This beer is based on a Trappist beer, but with the 'US hops playing the headline act.'
When poured this is an amber orange beer with an off white head. There is a sensational aroma present, complex with hints of passion fruit, rock melon and spicy citrus notes thanks too the 'US Cascade and Chinook hops.' On tasting this is a highly complex beer with a sweet malt backbone and high carbonation on the palate. This is a full bodied beer, that makes good use of the hops. Overall a solid, tasty beer attributed to the excellent merging of the classic hoppy American pale ale flavours, with a Belgium Triple. A beer that Little Creatures can be proud of.

Verdict - Pure Genius

When poured this is a hazy dark golden beer with a creamy off white head. A fantastic intense sweet tropical aroma, with notes of passion fruit and spice entices one to the seductive qualities of this beer. On tasting this is a sweet, smooth beer with qualities that compare to a fine pale ale. A medium to full bodied beer that is flavourful and delicious. The choice of hops compliments the wheat malt, making this beer all to easy to enjoy. We believe this to be one of the greatest beers of all time. Genius.
