Water pumped from a depth of 150 meters is the basis for this extraordinary beer. Not only is the water highly pure but Scientist have discovered the water used originates from rainfall at the time of Jeanne d'Arc.
Bottle conditioned, when poured this is a mahogany coloured beer with an off white head, a classic Quadrupel appearance with a fantastic aroma of dark fruits, raisins, and plums. On the palate this is a highly carbonated beer as expected from most Belgium Ale's . The dark fruity flavours and mild malt flavour with a candy sweetness are remarkable given the 10% ABV. Overall this is a World Class Example of a Belgium Abbey Ale. Definitely check it out, as it should be found in any good bottle shop all year around!
Verdict - Great
