What makes this beer unique is that it is brewed in European style "Open Fermenters" allowing the yeast to go wild.
When poured this is a dark brown colour beer with a foamy beige head. Very little can be said about the aroma. This is a full bodied beer that has a rich and interesting blend of slightly chocolate malt and hops that are just bitter enough to provide an excellent balance. With a solid malt backbone the beer has a pleasant creamy mouth feel. This is a refreshing Dark Ale with a floral hop signature that can be enjoyed anytime of the year!

These reviews are shaped by our personal tastes and so you should know that both Maca and myself don't find Belgium styled beer particularly appetising and Maca is not a fan of dark beers. Also we both think ginger beers are fucked.

It is important to look close at the beers you are buying. Many beers that you think are imported may be brewed under license and these beers are nowhere near as good as there imported brothers, so always look for the 'Imported' logo. When shopping it's well worth the small amount extra you'll pay.

You may of heard someone say 'why pour a beer? Its already in a glass' well those people need to understand is that to get full flavour out of your beer, aroma is key and the only way to truly appreciate the aroma is to pour it. So everyone pour it if you can and tell any wanker that says that to 'fuck off'.

If you've had look at this blog and are thinking... gee it would be nice to try some of these beers that i've seen here but i really can't afford it, well we think you need to get your priorities in order, however here's a top tip from Maca and myself. We brew our everyday drink at a local Brew By You, a chain of microbreweries that allow you to use their equipment and their recipes to brew excellent quality beer for only half the regular price. So the money we save we put into buying new untried beers. This is a great option for someone who wants to make there wallet a bit heavier, get involved in the brewing process or reduce your intake of preservatives This is good for your health but it also reduces the effects of a hangover.
