Brewing company - Mcauslan Brewing Inc.
St Ambroise pale ale was the first speciality beer to be bottled and sold in Quebec. The beer takes its name from St Ambroise Street in Montreal, which runs along the historic Lachine Cannal where the McAuslan Brewery is located. It is the breweries flagship beer.
When poured into a stein this beer is dark amber in colour with a large off white frothy head, that recedes and leaves much lacing in its wake. There is a sweet aroma of honey and toffee with hint of citrus. The malty flavour with caramel notes upfront ends in a bitter finish, whilst providing a good mix of malt and hops.
