Brewing Company - SABMiller
Another fully imported beer that when compared to the Australian brewed under license beer, shits all over it. This is another fine example demonstrating why it is always best to get your beer from the country of origin.
When poured this is a clear light gold coloured beer with good carbonation. This beer displays a white head that dissipates, but remains to the end of the glass, with a moderate pilsner aroma. On tasting this is a clean crisp beer that is easy to imbibe. The hops are more subtle with a thin malt backbone, in comparison to the Stella Atrois, making this beer (as Tony describes) 'a pounder, a real session beer.' This is an excellent beer that beats Tony's beloved Barons hands down. For us this would have to be one of our favourite quaffing beer.
Verdict - Exceptional
