This beer is formerly known as the Murray's Nirvana Pale Ale and whilst Murray's claim there is no change to the recipe for this beer, immediately the colour reveals their deception. Whilst the Nirvana Pale Ale was an amber gold colour beer, this pours a ruby orange colour with a white head. A medium floral aroma is present hinting at passion fruit. On tasting this is a full bodied sweet beer that has a bitterness at the end of the palate. The beer is a little spicy but not as fruity as the Nirvana Pale Ale had been. Overall this is a mid range Pale Ale that does not perform to the standards of the Burleigh Heads 28 Pale Ale but still is an enjoyable drop.

It is important to look close at the beers you are buying. Many beers that you think are imported may be brewed under license and these beers are nowhere near as good as there imported brothers, so always look for the 'Imported' logo. When shopping it's well worth the small amount extra you'll pay.

You may of heard someone say 'why pour a beer? Its already in a glass' well those people need to understand is that to get full flavour out of your beer, aroma is key and the only way to truly appreciate the aroma is to pour it. So everyone pour it if you can and tell any wanker that says that to 'fuck off'.

If you've had look at this blog and are thinking... gee it would be nice to try some of these beers that i've seen here but i really can't afford it, well we think you need to get your priorities in order, however here's a top tip from Maca and myself. We brew our everyday drink at a local Brew By You, a chain of microbreweries that allow you to use their equipment and their recipes to brew excellent quality beer for only half the regular price. So the money we save we put into buying new untried beers. This is a great option for someone who wants to make there wallet a bit heavier, get involved in the brewing process or reduce your intake of preservatives This is good for your health but it also reduces the effects of a hangover.
