Brewing Company - John Boston Premium Beverages
The peculiar matter with this beer is that both John Boston and James Squire claim to have brewed beer first in Australia. John Boston, his wife and three children arrived as part of the Second Fleet and shortly after his arrival began to brew beer out of malted maize and stalks of lycopesican. This venture was so successful that in September 1796 he built a windmill on his 170 acres to develop his venture into a business "To no surprise he would become the first man to brew beer in Australia."
When poured this is a gold colour beer with a white head and good effervescence. There is a mild aroma of barley. On tasting this is a clean crisp beer that washes down better than allot of the other Australian lagers on the market. This is an enjoyable lager, perhaps the best yet! Overall the beer is NOT a complex one but this performs the simple things best.
Verdict - Great
