What initially drew us to this beer was the word "Pure"and that the beer states it is completely pure with no additives or preservatives. In comparison to the Steinlager Classic this beer when poured reamins a clear gold colour beer but has a added golden hue with a more pronounced aroma of sweet barley. Again this beer has a distinguishing taste similar to the Steinlager Classic that is exceptionally clean and crisp with a lingering barley and hops flavour. With an added 0.3% ABV this is a very enjoyable beer to have on any occasion and is a fractional improvement on the Steinlager Classic .

Verdict - Exceptional

These reviews are shaped by our personal tastes and so you should know that both Maca and myself don't find Belgium styled beer particularly appetising and Maca is not a fan of dark beers. Also we both think ginger beers are fucked.

It is important to look close at the beers you are buying. Many beers that you think are imported may be brewed under license and these beers are nowhere near as good as there imported brothers, so always look for the 'Imported' logo. When shopping it's well worth the small amount extra you'll pay.

You may of heard someone say 'why pour a beer? Its already in a glass' well those people need to understand is that to get full flavour out of your beer, aroma is key and the only way to truly appreciate the aroma is to pour it. So everyone pour it if you can and tell any wanker that says that to 'fuck off'.

If you've had look at this blog and are thinking... gee it would be nice to try some of these beers that i've seen here but i really can't afford it, well we think you need to get your priorities in order, however here's a top tip from Maca and myself. We brew our everyday drink at a local Brew By You, a chain of microbreweries that allow you to use their equipment and their recipes to brew excellent quality beer for only half the regular price. So the money we save we put into buying new untried beers. This is a great option for someone who wants to make there wallet a bit heavier, get involved in the brewing process or reduce your intake of preservatives This is good for your health but it also reduces the effects of a hangover.
