Percentage - 3.5%
Brewing Company - Burleigh Heads Brewing Company
Hell is the German adjective for "light" whilst Helles is a noun used in the sense of "a light one" referring to the colour only. Typically this is a full bodied brew with a 4.7 - 5.4% ABV. The style of beer should have almost no nose or upfront bitterness but is mildly malt-accented with a dry finish and lingering note of hops.
When poured, the Duke is a golden colour beer with a white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is barely susceptible in the fashion of a Helles. On tasting the beer lacks a decent body and malt flavour. As a mid strength beer (0.9 standard drinks) this is NOT a Helles! Overall the beer is better than a XXXX but we would pass on another.
Verdict - OK
