Cascade is unique among Australian breweries and rare among breweries world wide in that it operates it's own malting's, producing malt for its beer from locally grown barley. When cascade started bottling in 330mL bottles (Un-Australian Cunts) with no change of price they quickly lost customers and were hence forced to return to the 375mL bottle. When poured this is a golden coloured beer with a decent head. The beer has a slight aroma of barley and a hint of citrus hops. A great session beer that is clean crisp and refreshing, brewed in Australia's oldest brewery (Established 1824, when the Tasmanian tiger was still active). This is simply a good beer with a balanced taste, that may lack sophistication but is made up for by drinking more.
