This was the first major imported beer that Maca and myself got hooked on, splitting many a case. First introduced to Maca at Simon's (Nico) bucks night at the Lowenbrau Keller in the Rocks, Maca later introduced it to me. When poured this is an amber beer with very little aroma. This beer has a delicate malted barley taste followed by a mild bitterness. This is a sensational session beer going down almost too easy, making for some eventful yet somewhat hazy evenings. Fully imported and brewed under the German purity laws, a great choice when you can often grab a case for $40. In many cases it is cheaper then average Australian beers such as the Carlton or Tooheys range.
Verdict - Exceptional
